Is there, or was there ever a plain edge SS Harpy? and if so, where can I get one. Al

yes there was a plain edge ss harpy. very cool knife, is the one used in hannibal. they are discontinued and from my experiences, hard to find. if you would like to see one, there is a thread on this forum call "what knife would you pick if you were Hannibal Lector" or something along those lines. very cool knife!

Heres a pic I took awhile ago. You can see by looking through the drying vent hole, the spring for the lock is one piece made from the back spacer.

Nice collection. Looks like the holes are radius'd--is this an illusion or did you do some customizing? The original Peter Herbst is the only Spyderco that I have with smooth edges along the inside of the hole.

Hi Kdarmy. Very astute observation. The backspacer and spring were in fact made from one piece differentially heat treated. We made the early CoPilots the same way.

Too expensive to do now, but fun to be able to do them when we did.
