Plain Jane Mnandi?

I hope this question isn't bordering on heresy. If so, please blame it on someone fairly new to the Mnandi. Beyond the gorgeous wood and ivory handle inlays, has there ever been a "plain jane" Mnandi--one with simple titanium scales like the Sebenza's? Or one with just Micarta/CF inserts? I wouldn't think twice (no pun intended) about throwing a ti/Micarta/CF-handled Mnandi into my pocket with my keys and using it. But I find myself thinking dozen of times before carrying my first Mnandi (patterned ebony), even in the pouch. Has CRK ever offered something like this? Thanks for enlightening.

Unfortunately they have not. The closest they ever offered was the Umfaan. It was like a micro Sebenza.

I would be all over a full Ti Mnandi, as I'm sure many here would be. It hasn't happened yet, but it's probably more than fair to say it isn't going to either.

I don't see why CRK would oppose the. It should save money from time, labor and materials, along with future warranty service.

I would like to see it happen as well, but like Haze, I don't think it will happen.

Now that would be an awesome knife. You could use it plain, or it would be great as an engraved present for special accomplishements.

I consider mine (madagascar rosewood) as a plain jane.
The wood is sturdy and since I carry it without a pouch I find myself using it often.
I do admit there are no other objects in that specific pocket - I'm a knife-nut.

Unless I'm mistaken, don't you have a titanium inlaid Mnandi?
