Is there any such thing as a "plain" umfaan -- without any decoration / design??? Just wondering if you guys have ever seen one...

Thanks! :D :D

That would be neat! First thing that pops into my mind is a plain one being re-done with "my" scene on the side!

I've been wondering if CRK ever made the Umfaan in left-handed versions. Can anyone answer this question? I've written to Anne, but have yet to receive an answer. Thanks

Some "plain" umfaan is been made. I remembered that I found some pics in eBay and orther forums.

The Umfaan came in all the optional ways the Sebenza did, left handed, decorated, damascus blades, everything but wood inlayed.

Thanks STJAMES, I've been trying to acquire an answer to this question ever since the "Bring back the Umfaan" thread was posted. I've never seen one offered for sale on any of the forums. The left-handed versions must have been made in limited number as was the flat-grind blade models which only five were made, I have one of them.

I DO wish you luck in the hunt for your Umfaan!! Mine was my Holy Grail of knives, and I feel VERY blessed and grateful to have been able to get it!!! I hope you find the perfect one for you!!

There was a undecorated (IIRC) LH Umfaan at the CRK booth at the 2000 SHOT show in Atlanta. Sadly I did not buy it.

I own a plain one, and no I am not selling it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I recall correctly it was a backwards kind of thing for the plain umfaans. The standard model was decorated and the plain one was a special order. Unlike the sebenzas where the plain is standard and the decorated is the special order. Oh yes, my plain one is not for sale either:)

Yes, to get a plain Umfaan, you had to order at the "unique graphic" price!!

It was odd, but now worth it's weight in gold :D
