How many folks here after using a plain Sebbie for a long time have switched to and beome firm converts to the Micarta Sebbie?

Large Classic Micarta has replaced my large plain as primary work EDC.

I'm slowly making the conversion...that large classic just doesn't want to go away though!

i really eyed the small micarta one... i'm sure i'll eventually buy one

Well, I received a large Classic micarta this week, and I am a big fan already. The micarta inlays give added comfort over the plain-handle models, and afford a more secure grip in this fisherman's wet hands. I must say that at first I missed the anodized blue of the plain model's thumblug and back spacer, but the look of the micarta model now has its appeal for me. And, the micarta inlays seem to have lessened the weight of the large Classic--another plus.

I like all Sebs, but prefer the inlayed ones, both for feel and looks. I've lately been carrying my small micarta classic but just switched a couple weeks ago to a large classic with ivory inlays that it picked up. A little bulky in the pocket but user wise, it fits the bill completely.

I switched with the micarta but goes back with the plain regular, i prefer its belly blade.

Saving for my first Seb purchase, and it is going to be a small micarta.
