What's on your hit list for the new year? In no particular order, mine are:
V-nox Soldier
V-nox Swisstool X
CRK small classic Sebenza

Paul

My list is short and simple:

More Custom Emersons
More Custom Brends
TwoHawks Military Hawk

Anything else that interests me that I have any money for!

Regards,

Ed

Spyderco Ocelot
Spyderco ATR
Spyderco Impala
Becker Combat Utility
Benchmade 31

A few Carson customs
A few Obenauf customs
A few Blackwood customs

I won't think of the financial implications, but as of now ;
Small Tanto Sebenza
Mission MPF
Mayo TNT
Plus a tomahawk if I ever get to see one in the metal.
Well it is nice to dream.
Paul.

Financial considerations notwithstanding, I would like to like to add a small TNT and a damascus folder to the "collection" this year. Unfortunately, money may be a little tighter this year than it was during 2001.

I will finally be getting my Pronghorn from Ed Fowler. Also an F4 from Kit Carson, an integral hilt and cap hunter from Ted Dowell, a goat horn handled hunter from Bill Buxton and a new folder from Mike Snody. Maybe a hunter from Bill Burke and a folder from Ferret as well.

In decreasing order of "need"
a medium TNT
a fine slipjoint; maybe PJ Tomes
a small Model 2 from Obenauf
a Mnandi
a small Spyderco; maybe a Navigator

I have a list, but don't tell Doris. :)

1. Camillus Talon.
2. Custom stag handled whittler pattern slipjoint.
3. Small wood inlay Sebenza.

I may also take a look at one of Victorinox Swisstools. I love my leatherman Wave, but I want something new.

If this steenking strike doesn't last all year, I would like to get:
A Rifleman from Doug Mondt
An ALB from Darrel Ralph
A TTKK or Chimera from Trace Rinaldi
A Flash from Reese Weiland
That's all, and that's plenty:)

I just ordered a Large Plain Sebenza, but I need more:

Mayo TNT
Spyderco Chinook
Kershaw Boa
Stirder AR
CRKT Viele Wasp

I guess I better work as much as I can while I don't have classes to start paying for them, if only the weather would cooperate.

Erik

The list for 2002 so far consists of the names of: Jerry Fisk, John Fitch, Ron Newton, Matt Lamey, Tim Potier, Harvey Dean, Roger Massey, Kevin Cashen, Jerry Hossom, Keith Kilby, Bailey Bradshaw, Ron Clark, Scott Cook, Murray Carter and a few others I cant think of right now. How I will pay for them is anybody's guess.

My list:

* Kershaw Boa
* Spyderco Chinook and Delica
* REKAT Sifu
* Strider GB and MFS
* Snody Negotiator
* Anderson Man-O-War
* Weiland Rastor
* Pirela design, hopefully a Sensei

Hopefully, I'll be able to keep at least half in the divorce ;)

Zero

A Pat Crawford Falcon, probably in the 3" size.(I keep looking at the pictures in the latest Tac Knives Mag :rolleyes: )

Also, another DDR EDC, probably with carbon fiber scales.

I think it's going to be a good year.:cool:

I can only think of 2 or 3 knives I am considering for this year:

Benchmade TSEK Axis lock, plainedge. (I handled one and it is THE most comfortable, to me, of the Axis models, the 440C blade had a nice, stone-washed satin finish, solid and super-smooth operating. I liked its feel far more than the Axis AFCK right next to it in the display).

Benchmade 555. Smaller version of one of my fave user knives.

Spyderco Police VG-10 blade, plainedge.

Jim

Being realistic.......Maybe another dozier like the reverse tanto model or Agent, that would make 5 of his knives so far. I like the Ryan Wilson model 2, and Trace Rinaldi's LEO model so one or the other, and maybe a bud nealy, not sure the exact model. Not too many folders interest me, but the Strider does. I could get on the list for one, but not sure. I tend to shy away from custom folders. The high end factory ones do so well, at what folders do. I like fixed blades for tougher stuff. I started collecting with the larger fixed blades and folders and am working my way smaller and more utilitarian and easy to carry.

I forgot to mention the Darrel Ralph designed mini 605 kit. This ought to be a blast to work on. I'd also like to successfully complete at least one friction folder this year.

Paul

Within weeks or even days of receiving my William Henry Evolution 05 and SOG Bowie; probably next week or so, I'm likely to get a BM 705 and/or Spyderco Howard Viele, both plain-edged. There's so much more but these two have more or less surfaced as serious contenders.

I'm not -yet- willing to hand in the cash for a custom when -for example- the Spydie Viele will deliver close to custom-performance and looks, at ± a quarter of the price.
