got some free time, so of course the first thing i do is come on here! ok as some may know or can read im in the desert killin time, and i have been thinking about what i want to do when im done. i want to go on a trip in the woods of course but where? im going to go back to fl, you know check in with family and all that. but that will be in the spring of next year before i can do it. so give me some good places to go camp, hopefully secluded for the most part and i will have my truck to go just about anywhere (see beckerhead vehicle thread:thumbup:) heres the stipulations, stay in the south, i like mountains, i want good water sources (preferably kayaking water), dont want trouble with the law, going offroad for a while if preferred :D, and veeeerrryyyy pretty!!! i like east tn and west nc but if you guys got ideas throw em out there and if you got pics even better!! and if someone is down for a trip or a meet up let me know!!

Are you going to the F1 race at the end of the month?

No I'm not but, wish I was! If you've never been to an F1 race, you really should try to go, it's awesome!
 
nope never been but i been hearing awesome thing so if im able to i will be there and ill take some photos and videos and post it!
 
Not quite F1, but I am actually going to the Long Beach Grand Prix this Saturday! I dream of going to an F1 race someday...
 
well fly over here its only a 24 hr flight and roughly $1200 round trip :D soooooo anyone have any good places to head to?
 
Hell's bay in the Everglades, ton of fun, great kayaking water when you get out of the mangroves, which means you go from 90 degree turns with 2-3 feet of turning space to some really nice open water. If you go, try to get the camping spot that's actually on land, the deer fly dive bombers can dive up through the floor boards on the chikees! Oh, forgot to mention, it's listed as a 3 mile trek, but with the mangroves it's closer to 6 or 7. It was beautiful, starting with the night sky and ending with those damned dive bombing deer flies!

That sounds pretty awesome! I havent been to the 'Glades in quite some time. im googling now...
 
You might be able to hook up with the Barlow Navy out East. They post a lot of Kayak pictures. There will be a Beckerhead gathering next spring too, maybe you can visit Beckerland and meet the creator. I hope your time goes fast and you are back home before you know it. :thumbup:
 
Oh ya I forgot about the gathering how did I not think of that? An I'm gonna have to google those guys. Times dragging but it's ok. How you been man?

Barlow Navy are Beckerheads. Moose, Guyon, Bladite, Tradewater( and hopefully I didn't forget anyone) go out kayaking together.

Ive been great buddy, thanks. But I'm sitting over here stateside, running the AC and playing with knives. Still use the Remora I won from you every day. :thumbup:
