I quite enjoyed doing my review on the Lionsteel SR-1, so much so that I want to do another one. I've been planning on making my kids a bamboo climbing frame and a friend of mine owns a large farm which happens to have a rather overgrown bamboo thicket - I offered to clear it for her !!

So, I'm planning on taking my Bushwacker Mistress out for her virgin mission and the SR-1 for smaller duties. Going to chop the Bamboo down with the Busse and do all the other work with the SR-1. I plan to take as much video footage as I can - is there anything in particular you guys would like me to cover that you'd find useful !!

bamboo can be a PITA to chop and process.

I say bring every good knife you own and try a bunch, the results will vary greatly IME.

That was a nice review on the SR-1. If your BWM has a V-edge on it, you may want to convex it first to help with the bamboo. If it's a CF then you're all set.

Bamboo ... an interesting object to cut.

You might find out what angle is optimal for this job. I'd be interested to hear. I've done bamboo with various Busse blades.
