Plans For 2025

I’ve started to make plans for next year, as long as I get good test results at the end of next month. I’m not planning on taking orders for anything larger than the Kephart, and am only planning on making two knives per month. The only steel I will be using will be O1, no more stainless. I will also not be offering sheaths any longer. I will no longer be using PayPal, only money orders, and checks.
I’m currently trying to get a feel if there’s going to be any interest, or if I should just forget about it. Please post your thoughts.
 
I think the interest will be there, especially if you're going to limit production to just a couple per month. I think that's a good idea! Do a few to keep busy but not so much that it stresses you out.
 
I’m happy to see some interest, that feels good. My thoughts are not to make it a job, where I feel like I have to work everyday regardless of the heat or cold, or how I feel, but to enjoy my time doing what I love to do.

If you are retired, you are now on a retired …wait…..less busy….pace. 😀 Man of leisure, leisure pace..enjoy the scenery and friends and family too. How are all the grandkids? What is Hannah doing now?
 
That’s why I only want to do it part time, my wife is also retired and we actually enjoy spending time together. Grandkids are doing great, my grandson and his fiancée are having a baby boy in November, my youngest granddaughter, Emily, is a freshman in high school, and very active in drama and theater. She also does all the makeup for school productions. Hayley is teaching preschool, and Hanna is in college to be a medical technician. I am very proud of all of them.

John! It is so good to hear you making future plans and looking ahead!!
I have myself been battling cancer since the first of the year and it is looking like my doctors and I are WINNING the fight. So with the concept of you and I getting well, please accept my order for a Kephart! I will be missing this years (2024) deer seasons it appears, but I hope to be right as rain for 2025 hunting seasons. All the best to you, your lovely wife, and all my friends in Blade Forums.🔪

I'm not sure what you'll be charging, but a Kephart always sounds good to me, and O-1 sounds just fine.
I feel like this thread could use some inspirational pictures!
 
Brad, so sorry to hear you have been fighting cancer too, I hope you continue beating it! I talked to jds1 the other day, he is also winning the fight against cancer. Get in touch with me after Christmas and we can discuss the details of the Kephart.
