I was talking to "FrontSight," maker of the Hideaway Knife, when she mentioned that she loved the Plantronics headset she was using. The one I have was given to me by another forum member who works with Plantronics. These are comfortable, clever little headsets, with a flexible rubber hook that fits behind the ear to keep the speaker in place. If you don't have one and you're not happy with your current hands-free phone setup, you should consider this brand.

I have two of them, though a different model. As a paramedic, I also spend some time as a dispatcher, where I use theTristar.

I like the fit and feel, and I have no problem understanding the crews on the radio, and they hear me well too...which is important.

I also have the Halo 2 headset which I use when I am fraggin' newbs on xbox live... Basically the same headset. Works great.

Basically I find this company to make well designed products, and I have no hesitation recommending their stuff.

I use a DPS-500 for all my gaming. This is a headset/mic combo with a built-in inline "sound card". Not only excellent sound, but it's very directional, which means you can hear which way the enemy is sneaking up on you.

Bit pricey, but I bought it with a gift card from Xmas.

I've been happy with several Plantronics headsets too, but these days my favorite is a Jabra. Their fitted earpieces allow me to hear significantly better than the other designs I've used.

I have used Plantronics headsets for many years and I have never found a bad one. Great design and excellent manufacturing.
