It seems that this kind of TV is gradually becoming a rage in some countries.

The minimum size I was told is about 40inches, although 42 inches would be nice.

When I first started watching TV, 18 inches was considered big. Later it was 20inches, then it was 29inches.

Now it is getting to be the size of your wall. I guess our eyesight is being ruined one way or the other.

Still, I would like to have one of these on my wall.

Anyone has one of these screens at home?

Not at home, but when I worked for Pioneer, they had them in the office. Plasma alone doesn't mean it's a good TV. Color quality varies widely. Make sure you research any candidate plasma TV well. At the prices for plasma, I think it's reasonable to try out the specific TV you'll be taking home with you before you buy it.

It's just sad to think of all of the druggies and drunks who have sold plasma for years just so we could watch better television.

Next time you see a panhandler, give him a touch of your cap. His addiction has brought you a crystal clear Super Bowl.

Be careful - in the noise of the shop, you often don't realise how loud the powersupply [fans] are for these Plasma screens - especially on the cheaper ones.

Like with Subwoofers, the powersupply could hum after a while. One of the things you pay for when you don't buy cheapo is quieter operating and longer life. (in a way this is like motor noise from cheaper camcorders)

I would always suggest you go to a dealer who has several brands and models for your to compare in a listening room.

I like Plasma screens because they often don't have much surrounding plastic or cheapo speakers. Simple and clean. I don't have one at home. Personally I would invest in a projector and motorised screen rather then larger high quality Plasma screen.

At the end of the day, it's in your lounge, you have to live with it. What you like is important, not what I like. Suck 'em and see.

I agree with Size 15's....juice is not worth the squeeze on plasma's.

if they weren't thin...NO ONE would buy them (pic quality isn't that good).

Pricey also (although look for $1000 retail 32" in @ 18 months).

If space is a premium (I sell a ton in NYC) then it's a solution.
