Finally remembered to take pics this morning to go along with the text! Hope it helps people who have questions about it. You can see my tutorials page right off the link on the left of my website pages.

There are a lot of pictures, but even on dialup it will load in under 2 minutes. If I need to make changes or there's a glaring problem, please let me know!

Here's the direct link if you don't like clicking your mouse:

Chan, if you order a knife from me the clip is included for free. ;)
I'll consider that offer. I love to kill two birds with one stone. While I'm at it, I've got a nasty "crick" in my back. Do you offer special services to knife buyers?

Yeah, but the state board frowns upon adjustments given via email or the phone, so you'd have to fly me down there. Makes the first appointment a touch expensive... ;)

It just wasn't very dramatic, plus I was trying to stop the bleeding, honestly! It was somehwhere between a stabbing and a cut, although I found out this morning that I also put a nice slice in the web of my thumb that I didn't even notice! Sheesh! Zoo's gonna love this thing, if he can survive using it!

Great tutorial! I have Allen Blade's kydex sheath making video and you captured probably 95% of the info in a nice simple tutorial! Great pics too. I may have to look into a source of kydex now :)

Harva or Havra or something like that, I think Harva Plastics, has the best prices on Kydex that I've seen. I think I paid under $60 for a 4x8 sheet this last time of 0.093" material. They sell on eBay as well as having their own site. I was very, very pleased with the customer service.

This tutorial now has the Jeff Higgins Seal of Approval. Well done, Steve-O. Now I am really moist-o-riffically-ready to make some kydex sheaths.

Hey man... got a link for that plasitics place?

That's http://www.harva.com. The sub-$60 was for KydexT, not the supposedly better Kydex100, but I've used them both before and can't tell the difference, so I highly doubt it matters. Talk to Amber McGiver and she'll hook you up. They accept Paypal, too. Tell her I sent you.

Glad this tutorial was helpful! Wonder if it pissed off any of the plastic sheathmakers? The #1 comment I get when people email me looking for information on how to make a Kydex sheath is "I talked to so-and-so and asked some questions and they were really rude $%^&*! about things..." I've heard it enough from enough different people to come to the conclusion that there are some not-so-nice people making plastic sheaths right now, although I never have been able to get specific names from anyone. Oh well, there are no secrets in knife making, right?! ;)

That's a great tutorial, thanks; I've posted a link to it over in British Blades.

Peter

Thanks, ESpy! Eventually I would've gotten it over there, but it never hurts to have some help! :D
