Plastic to PB washers

Here's a question for you knife knutz. My friend steve and I have been discussing this, and wanted some opinions. Is it feasible to purchase PB (phosphor bronze) washers to replace a knife that came with crappy plastic ones?

The two knives we're thinking of are:

-Kershaw Vapor I gave to steve. I spent a large amount of time pimping this knife out (polished handles and clip, smoothed out blade finish)
-Benchmade Monochrome: stainless framelock red class benchmade. Don't know why this knife came with plastic washers, it was probably a $50 knife (not mine!)

Anyone know how feasible this is? I know you can get washers/etc from knifekits.com, but any other advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Check the thickness on the plastic washers.

Measure the inside diameter

Measure the outside diameter

If they are a common size and cheap, purchase a minimum of 2x the number you think you will need. (plastic, or whatever they are called, washers are usually considerably thicker than PB and installed on knives with wider tolerances)

If you follow these few simple rules you should be set.

+1 on what Spiral said. No better advice is possible.
