Here's something way different for me. I recently started spending some serious time forging, way more than the occasional bending or thinning of metal here and there.

Here's what's probably the 2nd or 3rd knife I forged. It started life as a Nicholson file and evolved into what you see here. I liked the forged look so I left a lot of that on the blade. Also, you can see where my hammer control needs a lot of work, too!

I think I'm hooked!

Damn fine looking blade from where I sit. I also notice that wood spirit you are working on. Got any pics?

Thanks, swami!

Paul, that's a wood spirit I started on and just haven't gotten around to finishing yet. I'm afraid wood carving could turn into another of those obsessive hobbies if I let it...

Yea, sometimes you just have to be careful with the things you start. I need another hobby like a hole in the head...and wallet. :D
