I have been playing with knives using thin G10 scales attached with copper harness rivits. This method was used on a lot of the throwing knives I used to see when I was younger hanging out at the Mt Man shoots. Figured if it held up to throwing, it would work for regular knives too
Here is my latest. The design goes back a few years to a knife I made that was similar to Phill Hartsfield's Force Fighter. I love the overall shape and it works as a nice general purpose blade and as a mean fighter too. I used 1/4in thick 5160 for the blade and 5/32 thick green/black G10 for the scales. Makes for a thinner handle but it still fills the hand. This one is 11 1/8in overall with a 6 1/8in blade tip to handle.
