Great knives !
It's hard to put them down. Nothing feels so good in my hand, and it's good to know that it won't fold on you.
Thanks Bob and the folks at REKAT.

Bill....aughhhhhhh! I just sent off the money order for my Carnivour, and I'm dying of anticipation!!! I have AT LEAST 3 days before I can even begin to hate the mailman for not having it! You lucky dog, snap that bad mutha open one time for me!

Bill-
I read the post where you shortened the spring in the slide release to make it work smoother, and gave me an idea.I put in a different compression spring in mine, and really works well, and still has excellent lockup.I can even flick it like the Pioneer 1 I have with the ball detent.I also backed off on the pivot screw a little, and makes it work better, and still no blade play.
Thanks for the idea.I'm like you and sit and watch TV, and open & close, over and over. It's addictive.
Love that knife. What a well built knife!!
I also have a concealex breakfront sheath coming from Mike Sastre(River City Sheaths).
Just thought I'd put in my .02 cents on how much I like this knife.
Anyway, just wanted to thank you again for the idea.

Larry

O.K. I confess, I too like to play with my....Carnivour. I find myself playing with it all the time. My wife thinks I have a problem. I just cant help myself. If I'm not careful I'll end up playing with it in public.

I really love this knife. I wish I could afford the custom version.

I love mine! Now I need a talonite one... thanks to Bob and Blues! My Carnivore has no play in the blade, smooth lock up, great grippy scales, ergonomics. Man, what a nice knife!

Heh. I love REKAT!!! I've got quite a few of their blades & even had good old Bob make me a lefty Escalator that's smoother than a baby's ass!!! I don't have a production Carnivour, but I have a custom which has a bead blasted blade & sweet black micarta scales. A TRULY OUTSTANDING OX OF A KNIFE!!! God bless the rolling lock!!! GREAT tools one & all!!! I can't wait til I pick up my Sifu... ^_^ ( I gotta calm down on the !!!'s)
Heh, heh heh.

Hi Larry,
I forgot that I shortened the spring on the first Carnivour. I have since found a production mini-spring (love ACE Hardware)and put it in the new one. At 13 cents each, I guess I can afford another spring for the first knife

None of my REKATS have ever rusted.
They have spent nights outside and were covered in dew, and never cleaned or worried about until I got home.
The only REKAT I have with black-T is my Utility. It hangs on the door post of my car, and since I smoke with the window cracked, It has gotten wet a few times.
I've had rust and stain problems with other ATS-34 knives. Particularly the bead blasted ones.
My Spyderco Tim Wegners are doing fine, however. They have a semi-polished finish and apparently good heat treatment.
I hate rust, but do not want to worry about it with my working knives.
REKAT's heat treatment and the "tin roof" finish seems to behave a lot like the BG-42 Reeves folders I own. Also, I like the way it looks.

Hi Copfish.
Where had Blues been lately ?
Bill

That's a secret, Bill.

WAAAAAAAAAAH!!! I want one, too! Between the size, name, and dsesing of the knife, it is just a bad idea for me to carry one (you know how it is with teen violence now). Also, I think it weighs around 6.2 oz...? Man, that Sifu must weigh like 20lbs. Anyway, I guess I'll buy a PioneerII, or ask for it for Hanukah. I want it SOOO bad, but that's big cash for someone with no job... Anyone wanna let one go? E-mail me :-)
Hey... do you think maybe I'm wrong about the Carnivour being more likely to get me in trouble?

Howie

Hey Bob, I am sure Blues could tell us, but then he would have to kill us...

A guy cruised up to me a few days ago and rode side-by-side for awhile. I was on the Goldwing. He was on a black ST1100.
I smiled at him

It was probably Blues !
