My JK Hiker is a pretty beefy blade but it looks quite the slim jim next to the Tracker....then again most knives do !!!!

I really like that ML knife Pit. Sort of a demi-puuko? You did a great job with the handle. And Matt makes a great knife.

I've liked most of the ML blades I've come across, and this one is no different than the others in those terms. Looks like a great user

Hi Pit, I imagine since the nights are cooling off down here already they are getting chilly up there already. I have always thought the tracker design was interesting but it never really appealed to me for some reason. I have always wondered what it was about that didn't or if it is just a combination of things. Tell me, would you feel comfortable with it as your only knife in a longer term wilderness adventure?

Man, that tracker is really starting to grow on me...

Do you happen to have an in-hand pic of that little ML?

Yeah I'd feel comfortable with just the Tracker. In my opinion though when they made the Tracker 2 they went about it the wrong way, they reduced the stock to 3/16" which was a good thing but then they went and reduced the dimensions as well which took away from the effectiveness of the design.A Tracker that is the size of the Tracker 1 but outta 3/16" stock would in my opinion be a great improvement.

Thanks Pit. So, you'd rather have a thinner 1 than a thicker 2?

Fellow forum member Horndog did it,it was his knife and he hated it so he did the convexed grind and then generously sent it to me !!!!!

i like the tracker design but i hate the grind do you like the different grind?
