Pleasant Surprise Found on Esquire Gift List

I don't usually click on these but I happened to check out a Yahoo link to an Esquire gift buying guide entitled "Best Holiday Gifts for a Digital Man: Editors' Picks". Scroll down and you'll find a recommendation for, of all things, a Spyderco Cricket!

In this day and age it's pretty cool to see this especially considering all the threads about sheeple, anti-knife work places, and the like. It may not mean much in the grand scheme of things but, hey, at least it's something in the mainstream media that portrays knives as useful tools rather than scary weapons. Definitely a point for our side :thumbup:.

I think Victorinox's Rescue Tool knife made Forbes Life's list a while back, too.

The Spyderco Cricket certainly is a gentleman's knife though--I really hope no one would see one of those cute little buggers as threatening. Other than, you know, the FAA.

Crickets are great. I recently saw a TV show with gift recommendations that told women that Victorinox knives and tools were perfect gifts for the men in their lives. Too bad my wife didn't see that one.
