Took a weekend trip to Fort Worth and made reservations at a La Quinta on northwest side off Loop 820. Not familiar with that part of town. Imagine my surprise when I found the hotel next door to a knife store called House of Blades!

Had a nice 30 minute look around the good sized store located in a really beautiful log building. Got to see many knives I had previously only seen in catalogs or on websites. I didn't buy anything but it looks like they carry knives by most all the major names and they had some custom knives as well. I don't know if anyone is familiar with House of Blades but it was a cool surprise to find it right next door.

I've heard of them, but I have never made a special trip over there yet. I do most of my knife deals through trades where I can. Many of the knife stores I go to have full MSRP pricing, which turns me off immediately. How was their pricing? If it is reasonable I might have to make a special trip to check it out.

Every knife I saw was full MSRP. They may have had some lower prices but not on the name brands I looked at.

Yea I have been there a few times, their prices are terrible. It is good to be able to see certain knives in person before buying them, from somewhere else.
