Pleasant surprise

It was a hell of a long day but, after coming home grouchy, found a very pleasant surprise in the form of a post office pickup slip. My ASH-1 LE (#62) had arrived already, a good couple weeks ahead of when I was expecting it. So, 15 minutes before closing I managed to make it in and pick up the package. At this time I really wasn't sure about keeping the ASH1, especially in light of a recent layoff....but then I unwrapped it and picked it up. This knife is PERFECT! Its light and nimble yet has heft and enough thickness to feel substantial. The mag slabs fill the hand out nicely and the fit and finish are flawless. All in all, this is my excalibur and theres no way its leaving the fold now :thumbup:

Thanks a million to the Busse crew. You all outdid yourselves on this batch.

Sucks about your job but good decision on the ASH-1 LE. Don't let it get away.

Sorry to hear about your job situation. I hope everything works out for you. That ASH1LE is awesome! My favorite of all the ASH1s.

Picked mine up yesterday, #104, and I have to agree, it's a beauty.:thumbup: This one may end up being my favorite. Guess I'll have to get another in case I need a user. That's whenever I can afford another.:grumpy:

I hope that your next job is twice the fun with 4 times the pay. :thumbup: ...And has anyone told you yet that ya got a NICE ASH... LE?? :D:D :thumbup: LOL!! Enjoy your knife in good health and spirits... Or at least good health & BOOZE. ;)
 
I'm a few weeks into a layoff (tool & die) and it really sucks. So I know how you feel. Hopefully you don't find yourself in a desperate situation and have to start selling your infi.

Just hold onto your infi for dear life and hope for the best! That's what I'm doing!

So, congrats on the great score though! I still gotta wait for the HOG edition before I can see my ASH1 CG or LE. Amy-O....nudge nudge! :D
