I recently got this Blackwater 16707bt (made by Benchmade) on a trade and thought I would comment on it. It's like pulling teeth finding info on these and there seem to be little if none available. I don't "generally care for coated blades and traded my black/black Millie for an orange , but this knife caught my eye. If a knife is going to be black then let every bit of it be black! The skeletonized liners, lock, scales blade everything so it's rather tactical looking but not as scary as some due to it's size.

Size wise it's exactly what I was looking for at the moment. It's light as heck and of course the axis lock needs no 'splainin. I really dig the blade shape. Not crazy about most recurves but this one is ever so slight and gives it a little sexy curve. The G10 scales are a nice touch and the BW logo unique. I'm a fan of the grip and this gives me the ergos with the + of being slim.

I'm gonna say it's a keeper and will share some pocket time with the Spydies.

I have a Blackwater 16707bt in my "small knife" carry group and like it.

I like the design is better than the 705/707.

Good looking knife ! I'm surprised there is no jimping on top of the blade in the usual spot.
