Villager (bas) Wow, pictures do no justice compared to holding this in your hand. Very sharp, I was so excited, the first time I went to sheath it I pushed it right threw the leather. Lol amazing

Great to hear that you are pleased with your BAS. They do seem like a very versatile size/configuration. Make sure the leather sheath is the only "skin" getting punctured.

I was out chopping today, fabulous. I'll fix the sheath tomorrow with something. Darn. It makes me want more stuff from H.I. :D

looks like that will need a few stitches with a strong thread and some appropriate glue.

this is why the khukuri safety guidelines recommend grasping the scabbard with your palm on the spine side and not letting your fingers wrap around the edge side while inserting or removing the blade. inserting is not a straight push. but curved to suit. it's also why i keep the metal tip on the scabbard rather than removing it like some do. i round the brass tip by attaching a ringer-less brass jingle bell of appropriate size to the pointy brass with solder or epoxy metal.

 yep that could ruin your hand shake should you be gripping that wrong when you drew it.

Yeh, luckily I wasn't holding it there.... I gained a healthy respect for her quickly. :D
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Thank you for sharing, Karv
