I feel a short explanation is in order of my actions this evening. It was shortly before the HOG invasion that I learned of their plan to bury us with junk threads and insults. Their original plan was for all official HOGs (save Eric) to hit us non-stop from 9-10pm, and to then continue at a slower pace throughout the night.
In an effort to drive them away and reduce the damage, myself and one other rat took it upon ourselves to go on the offensive and use their own plan against them. It was our hope that by inflicting heavy damage on their own forum, that they may cut out early to start digging out, thus leaving our forum in a less damaged state.
A retreat was called at 9:43 by the HOGs. Our plan was successful, but at the cost of our dignity. I regret that we had no option to avoid the attack in the first place. It was unprovoked and vicious. Rest assured though that our actions did not further fuel the ferocity of their attacks. In fact, it was nearly a half hour before they realized that their own forum was under attack and taking heavy damage. They slowed their assault as surprise overwhelmed them and eventually called for their early retreat.
Mission accomplished. :thumbup:
