Please assist in identifying this Randall Doctor Bailey

Hello,

I am new to this site and hope that someone may be able to shed light on a Randall knife. Approximate dimensions: 4.25" blade & 9.5" Overall length. This appears to be similar but is not the same as a model 22 and I would guess that it is older than a model 22 as I understand that was introduced in 1972.

Questions:

What model is this?

Approximately, how old is it?

Who is/was Doctor Bailey?

Hi Randy, and welcome.

To me, it appears to be an unfinished Randall KIT knife ordered by, or for Dr. Bailey. Name etched Kit knife blades were not typically blade etched to indicate it being part of a Kit knife.
