Please bring back the Umfaan

I have to say I love the Sebenza and the Mnandi but I think that there is a gap in the current line-up. Bring back that Umfaan! I loved having a gent knife, small in size, similar in design/strength to my Sebenzas. I like carrying my small decorated everywhere, but sometimes it isn't an appropriate sized knife while at school, etc. Are there any plans for a similar sized knife?

If there were a new folder to be announced by CRK, I would prefer something bigger than a small sebenza but smaller than the large. I have a Mnandi and I rarely use it because its too small for my XL hands. Umfaan's would only interst me for the collectability factor and I wouldn't use it.
 
I really doubt that we'll ever see the Umfaan in production again. It's a great little knife.:thumbup:
 
I rather have them make a totally new folder with a different design.

that's kinda what i thought at first, but now the Large Classic seems fine

i'd love an Umfaan though
 
There hasn't been a thread like this in awhile. I was somewhat obsessed with finding an Umfaan for a couple years ( More than a few email requests to Chris Reeve Knives too.) but then I found a retailer with a small decorated and it seems small enough for my purposes. Cut's Cigars, Wife use it at steakhouses, not too big for the rare times I'm wearing a suit, and I really like the meteor showers graphic. (especially after I anodized the background purple) I'd probably still buy an Umfaan... but it would probably take awhile for me convince myself I really needed one. The small soesn't have the cute factor, but in reality it's probably a more useful size. (But then I do like cute) Maybe at Blade this year??? Later GDWTVB
 
I'm going to be starting a brand new job in the middle of April so convincing my new boss that I need off 2 a couple weeks after starting might be tough..but damnit I need to go to BLADE again.
