Please can anyone help me identify this knife?

please i got this as a gift from an old friend who colllects knives its unmarked and really really old i need to find out some type of info about it timeframe of make or possible origins

this knife has no markings of any kind no numbers or marks jsut got it as a gift from a friend who collects he says its rare but couldnt give me any info.

Please do not post the same question in multiple threads.

In the 1950's and 1960's a number of German manufacturers exported knives to the US. The designs were rather generic. Your knife would fit one of the standard patterns. Carbon steel blades. 1075 or similar would be likely. The knife has seen better days.

I'm seeing theater/shop/home made. Possible that the pommel came off of a factory made blade, but the rest of it screams amateur/hobbyist.
