And let me know if you're still in for now or if we want/need to wait until sometime after Christmas. Putting my feelings aside for the good of everyone, Uncle Bill in particular.
Bill hasn't given his okay as yet to get started on the special project but I think we need to go ahead with a decision whether to do it before Christmas, with Bill's okay, or wait until after. I know money gets tight around this time of year but fortunately due to some finiancial moves I now have the money for mine and so am ready to go!

Yvsa, I am definitely IN! Before Christmas is OK, after might be better financially, but I'll go with your call. My only caveat is that they follow our specs as written. I don't want to be a pain, and fully realize that there's no guarantee, but don't want to pay in advance for a knife that ends up with a cho 3" up the blade and a habaki bolster.

If I can get two different woods then you can put me down for a pair, seriously. If they are all going to be the same wood then one is fine.

Thanks,

Norm

Hi there
waiting to see my YCS before i decide.
Phil :)
Okay Phil, I can't blame you. I would wanna do that as well.:D

Uncle Bill has stated, after I asked him, that after Christmas would be better for him so we'll respect Uncle Bill's wishes as always.
Uncle Bill has enough crap going on that he doesn't need anymore pressure right now and IIRC the YCS deal isn't completely over with yet.
I just know the kamis will do as good a job on the FF as they have on this current run of YCSes. These look so good that I wish I had of gotten in on the run myself!!!!:D

Norm we'll see about the different woods when the time comes. I hadn't thought of that but should be simple enough unless some would have to be made chiruwa style and that may complicate matters, but we'll see. IIRC most of the exotic USA wood's are chiruwa style khuks.
The kamis should be able to get the chandan, sandlewood, and possibly some different rosewoods as well as the old standby saatisal in chunks though. Good idea!!!!:D

Hi Yvsa
Well spoke too soon, about an hour after my first post the courier came a-knocking at the door YCS in hand. He always delivers those triangular boxes personally just to see what "the crazy white man has bought now"( his words not mine) Once he realised what the boxes contained I had to open each one and let him have a hold. Anyhow the YCS is a stunner, so I'm up for your FF reborn. I hope someone will make some more of those sabres though. Timing isn't especially worrisome and try to keep the price under $200 US( about a weeks wages for me at the moment) I'm an official taker.
Thanks Phil :)

PS do we have a correct name for the pair of 'torture knives" :D

Okay, and thanks guys.:D Phil I put you down on the main list in the official signup thread.:D

Did I mention that I'm going to get two (2) of the Foxy Follys?!?!?!?:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hey Yvsa,

I'm still in. I'd pay extra for fancy wood, like bloody sandalwood for example.

Yvsa, you can change me from "strong maybe" to "In and praying that it's light, fast, pretty, small-handled and sharp" :)
