Can you use Google Translate in some way?

Kanji as written on tangs is almost always not translatable using an application.
The reason is that Kanji can have serveral ways of reading. Names are often unusual readings,
especially old ones used on blades.

You will have more luck on a sword forum like militaria.co.za or search nihonto. Whatever you do, do not alter the blade in any way before you have it authenticated, anything you do can greatly affect the value if authentic.

I was able to attend a Japanese sword show here in Houston back in the 1990s. It was just like a gun show, but only long blades. It was really interesting and informative (if you don't know anything, something is a lot!).

Don't know what organization or show organizer was involved. Do some click-searching and you will come up with a better resource that this site.

The easiest way to post pictures is to upload them to any free picture hosting site.
Use the 5th icon from the right at the top of the posting box to put in the url to your picture.
