And that's the problem, I'm sorry to have to say. "Good with my hands and mechanically-inclined," doesn't quite say what, "ASE Certified Automotive Technician" does.

With unemployment where it is today, a solid credential helps a lot.

Just looking at the emails and catalogs I'm getting these days, I bet seasonal work is a great possibility.
