...they took the time to show us some of there beatifull pictures from there very special trip.

Hijacking a knife thread or one like this is fine, but when someone takes the time and effort to share pics from a very special trip lets please just reply only, not take it over with our own pics and get the thread closed.

Please just start your own thread for your trip. Plenty of room here.

I may get flamed for this but I just wasn't sure if some of the newer folk around understand this.

Very sorry if I offended anyone, that was not my intention.

Amen to that Ken  That ended up trampling over the original thread idea and I applaud Eric for his decision

I'm with you Ken. No reason for anyone to flame you. That was one of our worse cases of thread veer.

Ron, if you're reading this, how about posting your pics again? It's of a piece with what Hammie likes to say: "It's not just about the knives"

Why threads drift...

yes, I just looked at all those pics in the other thread and it started out really nice and went to hell.

It was so disgusting to see all those dead animals with no charcoal grill in the background. Yeesh, gave me the willies.

Ken44, I stand with you.
If I had SEEN what was pulled, I'd have been just as digusted by the pix that you must be referring to.

lunde, I didn't like the content in your pix, but I did, & do admire your photography skills... How did you capture that motion at the speed of a bullet?? ...So I decided to not get riled up, and just move on as the image content does not thrill me...

It is apparent that this is the last I saw last night, and much nastier images were pulled before I saw them today, I'm not a Mod, and I have no power here BUT I'll not let the next incident involving images of recently killed domestic animals or over-the-top graphically foul pix of fresh killing go so easily...
...& 1whobuys, there is no double standard, and you know that. I've kept quiet about your cat skeleton avatar, and the fact that your words have closed down several of my threads, including ones NOT RELATED to your horrible image, so PLEASE feel free to not get all riled up NOW. These others folks got lucky that I wasn't around here today or I would be all over them too.

This is not a HUNTING FORUM, and is supposed to be a "Family Oriented Forum... Not just this person's family or that person's, or yours, but ALL families & folks who visit here.

To the rest who felt it necessary to RUIN a good thread with some really decent wildlife pix... Way to go, do you all FEEL BETTER NOW??? :thumbdn::grumpy:

FWIW, no pictures were edited by any mods including me. RWH edited his own pics out. No other posts were edited in the entire thread.

I locked it as it took a direction much different than what the thread was started for.

Also, when graphic or slightly graphic pics are posted it is best to identify this in the thread topic so it is not opened in the wrong company. Of course this was not needed in the thread in question until later when others started posting pics.

I locked it, I don't have a problem with locking it. If this one or any others takes a turn for the worse I'll lock them also.

Eric
