The Manix description on Spyderco.com calls s30v "the hardest, strongest blade steel available on the market today."

What exactly does "hardest" mean in that description? That implies the blade on the Manix is harder than anything else, or at least sharing the top spot. Benchmade still makes M2 blades which are 60-62rc, some Kabar folders are 60-61, and my Fallkniven U2 is I think 64.

It's called marketing. Don't take everything you read literally.

I know, but it annoys me even more after Spyderco chose to not publish how hard their blades are any more. I thought exageration by other companies was one of the reasons why Spyderco didn't want to get in a contest over numbers, but I guess I could be wrong. I also thought their position was that harder is not always better (even though that statement on its own starts a whole other discussion).
