Please Explain the Busse Custom Shop

Can someone explain how the custom shop works and what types of requests they can accommodate?
Obviously they can provide exotic or upgraded scales.
Will they provide modified knives of any Busse design? or does it have to be a currently offered model?
What types of special requests can they accommodate on the blade design and shape?
Can you for instance request a different blade length, different grind or tip design?
Is there a general rule of thumb re the cost?

Call Busse @ 419.923.6471 and ask! ;):thumbup:
They would know better than us what they can and cannot do for you concerning what you want and what they have to work with.
As for pricing, there's too many variables to guess on this also.

Give 'em a call. They're really easy to talk to. :thumbup:

Jaxx is right. i was hesitant, because i can be a PITA but everyone there has been great. I wish the swamp had a call number. if they have the blank i believe Garth can do whatever you want feasible.
 
Call or email. Busse customer service is top notch. They will help you out. I only wish other companies were as helpful and responsive as Busse.

1st welcome to the forums.
Second if you do get answers and info about those questions a post with the info would be great, that way we all do not have to call Garth and ask him the same things :)
 
Thanks for the welcome David. I also was suspecting that others may have wondered about the same types of questions. There are so many beautiful custom shop knife photos on the forum, maybe someone would like comment on how they went through the design process with Garth. Are all the custom shop knives "built to order" or does Garth build some spec knives of his own and the put them up for sale somehow? Again thanks for all the advice and I will be sure to talk to Garth/the Busse crew as already recommended.
