Did you know that's a HI forum and not a kukri forum? Himalayan Imports does not = kukri as Buck does not = Bowie Knife.

Here is my contribution!
Both HI Kukri's.
The Bilton is mine, and the 12" is on loan from the man himself Richard J.
After using it to hack up some hardwood and a few 4 x 4 posts, I have resolved to buy one for myself. These are truly incredible blades.

Like Thomas said, check out the HI sub forum, lots if beautiful blades there.

Sigh.... But is generally associated with the Kukri.



Anyhoo here's mine! 2 Cold Steel Gurkha kukris, 1 in SK5 and one in Carbon 5.
The second is a McCurdy in 5160 and the lower one is a Sirupati by HI.

My favorite is the Cold Steel in SK5. It has taken massive abuse with only the occasional touch up. The other ones haven't seen much use honestly. The CSis much lighter and lively in hand although the handle leaves something to be desired. The McCurdy is a beast although the shortest in OAL. The Sipurati is 16" blade length and 1/2" at the handle of 5160. I've never used it but I could only describe the feel of the blade as devastating, totally blade heavy and feels like it yearns to chop.

I personally don't feel that a knife over 7" is very useful, however, the Kukri changed my mind. It's a great compromise when you may need a knife, machete and axe in one tool. Cool thread idea!!
