What is better. A Lionsteel SR-1 G, a Zero Tolerance 0300BW , a strider SNG cc, or a extrema ratio Fulcrum II D???

I have a Lion Steel SR-1 and a Strider SnG Lego, love both, but I like the Strider better. All are good knives, though I prefer the Extramarital Ratios vs the Extrema Ratio.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with having an extramarital affair with your knives. Just be careful, its a double edged sword, er, knife, er whatever.

Oh u think ur funny Cuz I can't spell!? Let it go! Haha

Was the "Extramarital Ratio" an accident? I thought that was on purpose, and I also thought it was hilarious! Out of the knives you listed, I would probably go for the Strider. I think the ZT's fat blade with a pronounced recurve is ugly as sin, Extrema Ratio is just 100% no-go for me, and the Lion Steel appears to have an inordinately wide and heavy blade. I've never handled the Lion Steel though, so I wouldn't rule that one out completely.

I also have a Lionsteel SR-1a and a Strider SNG and again I love my Striders they are just amazing and the CC models are super comfortable in hand and in pocket. I find the lionsteel's lock bar to be extremely stiff, other then that its a very very comfortable knife. I just really like the forward choil that Strider puts on their knives.

And the reason I chose those knives is because I want a stiff lock and a VERY thick and sturdy blade. Those wer the 3 thickest blades I could find in a folder for under $500.

I want a thick knife with a preferably fully metal handle that looks awesome. I personally like the ER the best as far as looks, blade thickness, and locking mech go but I'm not sure if the blade steel on it is as good as the d2 equivalent on the lion steel and what's so great about the strider? I need something that can have the hell beat out of it and it still be completely functional and perform perfectly.

The strider is straight up amazing. Once in hand you'll know it can take a beating and come back for more. Plus, it's very comfortable in hand, and screams of quality.

Okay, I'm genuinely perplexed now. What are you going to be doing with a knife that demands a robust lock up and weighs a ton and wedges things apart instead of cutting?? Like I understand it's your money and all but I would just carry a small prybar along with a folder with 2-3mm, maybe 4mm bladestock.

And if you want my input. Get the Strider. It's wonky looking, but it fits well in the hand and has a no questions asked warranty provided you don't bedazzle/pimp it.

I haven't tried the Sleipner steel but I find D2 to be somewhat lackluster compared to CPM154 on my Strider and I have heard great things about N690 found on the ER. So far CPM154 is one of my favorite steels for EDC, it takes an incredible edge and can hold it very well. My 3 striders are some of the smoothest knives I own I just cant get enough of them.

And bpeezer whys the extrema ration a "100% no go" for you?

It's all just my personal opinion. I don't like the lock, the pocket clip, the blade thickness, the black coated blade, the weight, or the general aesthetics of the knife. All things very subjective to personal taste :o

Well I personally don't think a g-10 handle can put up with the abuse it might encounter. I'm training with my dad who's a survivalist and I don't think g-10 can handle falls onto rocks from 20-40 feet. Or being crushed when I'm climbing.

Get a fixed blade...You can find some very easy to carry fixed blades that will stand up to more abuse for less money.

I think the lion steel would be the best choice I'm just not sure of the amount of quality put into the manufacturing of the knife that's why I asked you guys. I like the beefiness of the ER but I'm not sure about the steel it's made out of because I've never owned anything but s30v, s110v, d2 and cpm154.

G10 is actually extremely strong you are probably more likely to have the titanium fail before the G10 does. The lock or pivot would fail long before the G10 does so nothing to worry about there.

As for the Sleipner steel its suppose to be a more corrosion resistant D2 but not as stainless as N690 or CPM154

Do you think the n690 blade and aluminum handle combination of the ER fulcrum II is a good combo for high durability and function?
