PLEASE HELP !! _ Kydex molding question

I have been working with Kydex for a few months now and have had some good sheaths come out .

I prefer the folded single piece of kydex over using 2 dirrerent pieces .
My question is how do I keep the blade straight everytime I press a new sheath .

Lately I have had to press 2-3 times to get a good one .


If anyone else has some advice i would greatly appreciate it .

It should'nt matter if the blade is straight, as long as the spine stays against the fold point in the kydex.

How I do it: lay kydex lat on press foam, place spine down and apply pressure (centered on kydex where you want the fold.)

Here's a mini "drawing" : Imagine the I is the spine of the knife


Turn the knife on the side, pull ends of kydex around blade and hold while I close the press.
