Please help can't make up my mind...

First off just wanted to say thanks ahead of time..now to the question. I am very interested in picking up a Emerson Commander never owned one, or even held one. I own a spy die milli by any chance are they similar? I live in Seattle Wa, none of the stores here that I know of carry Emerson knives so I would have to order it. I do not want to order it and not like it made that mistake a couple of times. What's your take on the the commander is it edc able or is it strictly a tactical blade?
 
My Mini Commander carries very well. It comes sharp and is easy to keep that way. (some people have trouble sharpening recurves but I don't find it that difficult and I'm a mediocre sharpener at best) Solid construction. It also has some of the best ergonomics of any knife I own. Sucker fits like a glove.

There is only one thing that I would (barely) consider a drawback for edc. With such an abrupt curve up to the point I find it doesn't cut boxes and such quite as well as a more pointy blade. Still works fine though and it gets carried often.

The Mini is a perfect mid sized blade. The regular size is a little bit smaller than a Military but heavier by an ounce and a half. The Super size has the same dimensions in terms of length as the Military but is almost 3oz heavier. I find the heft of an Emerson comforting.
