Please Help finding right steel

I am looking for some 1075 or 1080 for a birthday present for my dad. I'm going to make him a Machete ~24x2x1/8in for X-Mas. I can't seem to find any in 2in width, Kelly Cupples has some 1.25" but nothing around 2 in. That is just too slim for an 18in machete. I also checked Aldo's site but didn't see anything under 1/4in. Anyone have an idea? I would be buying some other steel as well to make use of the shipping.
 
I don't know if your interested, but Knifekits.com has a machete kit blade that is 18" that looks pretty nice.
 
I might have to.

I was thinking of just making a parang or something like that since I have some 5160 I have been working with that would probably work well, but he lives in hawaii and does a fair amount of gardening and has a bit of land to keep clear.
 
Thank you everyone for the help, not sure why I missed that on their site. Order is completed :D

I'll post some pics as I make his present.
