Please help i.d. knife.

Looks like the style of machete used in the Philippines during the Spanish American War.
 
Go post this in the Bernard Levine Forum here on BladeForums and the guy can probably tell you the name of the maker's grandmother and what steel her kitchen cutlery is made of.
The guy is GOOOD!

After reading Misque's post I have to be careful here, but still:

This looks like a Filipino BOLO - a big knife made of rather good (high carbon) steel and a wooden handle that sometimes takes the shape of a human face or some kind of animal.

The one I have looks allot like the one you posted.

The finish is usually rude - but this is a WORKER!
