My Dad was a passionate collector of both guns and knives. When he passed away this large collection became mine, beause they were his, I began to appreciate them a great deal more. I have learned about all but 2 knives. One I posted in Mr. Levine's forum, the other is this Boker knife. I had always believe this was one of 2 he carried during the war (infantry).
Since I hadn't been able to find anything on this knife, I think perhaps I was wrong. Any information you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

There are 2 knives pictured, the knife in question is labeled #2.

I think it may be a good possibility that my grandfather, a welder by trade, made it for my father. The reason I question if he did, is for example: the stacked leather handle is perfect. Someone who knew what they wete doing made it. My grandpa was not a knife maker. But I can find no marks.__I do want to add two things._They were not wealthy at all, so if he bought it for my father, it would have been local. They lived in Rhode Island in the 1940's.__Down the middle of the blade on both sides is a faint criss cross pattern. It isn't even enough to be machine made, but pretty close. _ _

I hit it lightly with a wrench, what am I looking for?

Thank you all

Could have been ground out of a file.

That's my sig line, you weren't meant to actually hit it with a wrench.

And it still didn't talk??? I hate stubborn knives. Maybe going to work on it with a blow torch and a pair of pliers will get it to sing.

Good luck.

Actually, I just introduced it to my Boker Zirconia. Younger, slim and trim. He sang like a bird.

I thank you gentleman for your help.
