I’m new to Blade Forums and this is my first posting, hope it goes well. I found this site by trying to find information on a knife I have. I just turned 60 years old and have loved the outdoors, firearms, knives, going camping with family and friends since I was a child in the late 1950’s. While I’ve collected many things over my life time there’s one knife I received in the 1980’s as a gift from a good friend. Please help me with the knife statistics, it’s a by Carl Schlieper model 381 Eye Brand. 0verall Length, 8” Blade Length 4” Handle Length 4” and has a bone handle. On the blade it says Schlieper Professional-Stainless Steel-#381 Solingen Germany and the eye logo, towards the handle there’s a small amount of serrated edge. It came with a very nice leather sheath. He told me it was a special knife and after looking it over it looks custom made its to perfect not to be. Its been locked in my gun safe for around 30 years. Help me if you can. Thanks Lee (I’ll try to take some pictures later)

In order to curtail potential abuse of membership privileges associated with the forums, questions regarding valuation of knives and collections are limited to those with a membership level which permits selling on this site. Accordingly, registered and basic members may not start or post in threads with such requests whether with the intent to sell or for informational purposes only. This rule applies throughout the site.

In other words, without a paid Gold membership, you don't get to ask about sale values. Too many people abused this question to hint they had a knife for sale, which you need that membership for.
