I recently bought this knife at a NJ flea market. It was very rusty and looked like it was dug up from the ground. The guy I bought it from had a variety of stuff from an estate clean out. I cleaned the knife with steel wool and it looks pretty good. There is a B in a diamond on the blade and the letter U and S inside a circle where the handle would be (probably rotted off). The knife measures 10" long. I searched the web but found nothing. I was hoping this forum, with people who know a lot about knives, would be able to tell me something about it. I thought maybe it was a fighting knife or bayonet although I do not see where it would attach to a rifle. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to check it out.
