Please help identify this hatchet!!

I found this while working in the yard, looking for any info on it and the maker. All I can make out is possibly Buffalo Hammer Co. Buffalo, NY... But couldn't find any info on the company when I researched myself.

It's a lathing hammer. Might be very old.


Atha Tool Co. bought out Buffalo Hammer Co. in 1898. Then Stanley bought out Atha in 1913.

However the Buffalo Hammer Co. brand continued to be used. Here's a ledger from 1914 listing the purchase of 100 dozen hammers for $22/dozen.
