Everyone,
I am new to all of this and recently started collecting axes and hatchets. I am looking for any information about these two. One is a smaller Hatchet that’s badly pitted and has a worm wood handle.

the other from what I can tell looks like what I have saw called a Michigan axe. It says l.d &d.c. any help is appreciated.

Looks like a hewing hatchet and a Michigan pattern axe, possibly a railroad or company owned tool.

Smaller one seems to have a ridge running in the center: Possibly, badly worn AA&Tco phantom bevels hatchet???

I cannot spot "I" on your pictures. Sometimes because of pitting "B" can look like "D". If that is the case I am guessing: Bigelow & Dowse Co. Boston Mass.
