Please help identify

I was told this is a lucite knife and I'm curious about it's history.. is it military, what era etc. Any help is much appreciated!!

It looks like the handle is made of lucite washers, which is often seen in hand-made knives made or purportedly made by military personnel during World War II.

It could be a "theater knife" like wharncliffe suggested, or it could be something a guy made in his garage. Unless you know who made it, or who it previously belonged to, and you can research it through them, you'll never know for sure.

The pommel looks like the knife lost a spacers or a lucite washer at some point.
