Please Help Identifying These Swords!

I purchased these swords from an estate sale, but not sure exactly what they are. I suspect they are naval or police but not sure and not sure of country of origin or maker. Couldn't find any marks on blade or tang. Blade measures 14".

That's what I was thinking. Or short naval dirks.

Wow, it looks like somebody made knives out of swords. The bottom one in particular, with that large, unstopped fuller, looks ground down. I can't tell if it's the light or the same thing on the top blade, but the damage to the scabbard is in the right place to be a shortening. I can't see any proof marks, but there are some saber collectors who should be along shortly.

They look like salesman samples to me. George Wheeler and Dale Martin of http://www.swordforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?11-Antique-amp-Military-Sword-Forum Might recognize them immediately.

The blade mark should show who was making/producing them.

That was my initial thought but I am thinking decorative wall hangers at this point.
