I just got a boker plus kwaiken in today. Love the knife, looks great, fits my hand perfectly. I just had one question bout it. I've never had a folder with an IKBS bearing system before and am having a hard time telling if there is any lock rock or not. When I try and wiggle the blade up and down I can feel a tiny tiny bit of movement which feels like rock lock to me, I can't hear a clicking noise or anything but thats what it feels like. Is this normal with an IKBS system or should there be absolutely no movement whatsoever? There is no side to side play. Please let me know your opinions as I am deciding whether to return it or not, hope I don't have to!
thanks

I strongly disbelieve it has anything to do with IKBS, it's most likely how Boker cut the lockface for the liner lock, they have a very strong reputation for bad lock geometry and general bad fit and finish, so it wouldn't be surprising for this to happen.
Unless you can fold the blade from closing it with hand pressure from the locked position, I wouldn't worry about it.

Does the lock bar move when you put pressure on the spine of the blade? I do not own a Kwaiken but I do own other knives with IKBS. I have never experienced what you are describing. If you do not want to send it back try snugging up all the fasteners and adjust the pivot.

the lockbar doesnt move at all with pressure to the spine, and the lock up looks really good and early

Hmmmm? Try tightening the hardware and adjusting the pivot. If that doesn't fix the problem.I would send it back.

The custom Burnley's have zero movement. Sounds like a lock issue, my IKBS folder (customs) pivots can be virtually locked down with no issues.
