I purchased this knife in 1968 my first buck knife. Shortly there after, I went for some training. While I was there a friend sold a 110 folding hunter to me. Because of that, I have never carried this knife, it has not been used or sharpened. The overall length is 12-1/4" and the blade is 7-3/4". All that is stamped on the blade is Buck USA. The measurements do not match any I can see on the net. The 120's I have seen appear to be 12" in length - this knife 12-1/4". Please help me if you can.

Welcome to the Buck Forum. A 2-line tang stamp (BUCK over USA) with fiber spacers would date the manufacture of the knife between 1967 and 1969 so your memory of a 1968 purchase is good.

Thank you for the responses. I appreciate them. My knife appears to be about a 1/4" longer than any of the other 120's I find on the web. Does this sound correct? What is the proper way to measure the blade? Is it from tip to guard? Thank you for the help.

Welcome to the Buck Forum. Yes, measure it from the tip to front of the guard. Realize at that time Buck was doing much of the work by hand on their knives. Hence, you'll find some variations. They didn't really get away from some of these mfg. processes until after 1980. DM
