I don't paticularily trust new house mates.....

Is there a special knot used for tying up the katana. At the moment I have left it with one band going up through the tsuba, back down used the other cord to tie a saya knot over it then finished the pattern with the tied over knot, but that takes ages to do.

Is there another option, or special knot used but difficult to understand just by looking at it?

Please get back to me in about 20 hours

No knot is stronger then a knife or a pair of scissors. If you don't trust your housemates you need to lock that katana up somewhere... or if it was me get new housemates.

I agree too, but current circumstances make that impossible.

I know those knots but I meant sealer knots.
Thanks anyway like, I have worked something out myself which whilst still looking japanese functions as a lock.
