Please Help: Knife the has Thomas 001 inscribed on the blade

I have had this for years and can't figure out for the life of me who made it and what the markings mean. These link are to pictures I posted on Reddit asking the same questions. Please help and thanks.

Unless you find out otherwise just go with the ' first knife some guy made in his garage" explanation. I have a bunch and some are made with decent things like high speed steel saw blade ( M2) industry throways.

I have a similar knife , my wife bought it for me years ago at Cabelas.

Mine was made by Bob Schopp from a saw blade and the steel is really hard, it took me hours to re profile the edge.
There were many making similar knives at the time.
