Back in the late 70's and early 80's my father made around 30-50 knives and sold them to various individuals around the Little Rock Arkansas area. A handful also sold to individuals through the mail mostly to the Huston area. He was a green beret and mainly made combat style knives and a few Bowie and daggers.

Now here is where the forums vast membership can come to my aid. At the time he did not know that the last one he sold would be the last one he made. He did not keep a single knife for himself or his family. I am on a quest to find as many as I can to pass down to the grand kids of my father.

So far I have found a prototype boot knife and this 7" combat type knife. The boot knife was from one of his old army buddies and the combat knife I located through a search of google images and bought from the second owner who is an assistant editor for the fire arm blog.

As you can see the makers mark he used on the combat knife was the standard font he utilized for all his knives except for the prototype boot knife. Some of the leather sheathes also received a stamp using the font on the boot knife. He also stamped the opposite side of the blade with a series letter and number. As in "A003" on the combat knife.

If anyone can provide any help at all I would be very appreciative. I am willing to buy any examples that you may know the whereabouts of or personally own. Thanks
