Hello,

I am looking to get a tomahawk/thowing hawk/trade axe/belt axe to compliment the Becker BK5 for general bushcraft and camp use. It must be US made and in the ~$50 price range or less. I'd love to get something with a little personality, and I have been looking at the offerings at H and B Forge Company. Are these any good. Can you recommend others? I am looking for a working tool, not an art piece.

Here are my wishes and requirements from most important to least. Please, if you could suggest something that meets these criteria, that would be great.

1. Carbon Steel (not stainless)
2. Made in USA
3. ~$50 or less
4. Edge hardened
5. 2 lbs. or less in weight
6. Comes with belt sheath? (I am probably dreaming here, I guess)
7. Warranty?
8. Hand Forged

Thanks!!

H & B Forge would do you fine......Good work...Good price !

Fort Turner hawks are in that price range, and his sheaths run a little more than the H&B sheaths, but he does great work.

Yes, I saw the Fort Turner products too. They are a little more expensive, but the listed weights are less (this is a big thing for me, as I would like to use the hawk backpacking as well). Now I am torn...

This isnt a very good photo but. Bottom row Fort Turner is left
H & B on the right.....
